The award recognises organisations that excel in attracting, developing and retaining talent while fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
The accolade marks another milestone for the growing business, which relocated to larger headquarters in George Street, Hemel Hempstead, in 2024 following more than 20 years in Bushey.
Founded over two decades ago, JHP Electrical has built its success on a people first approach. Apprenticeships have been central to the company’s growth for more than 17 years, with apprentices now making up 25% of the workforce. More than a third of employees are currently undertaking formal qualifications or structured training programmes.

Judges praised JHP Electricals’ strong focus on employee wellbeing, career development and internal progression. The company has grown from 10 to 14 employees over the past year and offers benefits including private healthcare, mental health support and structured career development pathways — helping team members progress from apprenticeships into management roles.
JHP Electrical also works closely with West Herts College to support new entrants to the industry and is actively involved in community initiatives, charity fundraising and grassroots sports sponsorship.
Helen added: “We would like to congratulate all winners and those highly commended. It was fantastic to celebrate the innovation and success across our industry.”
