Electrical Testing for Landlords and Employers

According to the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, and the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, landlords and employers, including the self-employed, have to have all electrical equipment regularly inspected and tested.

Further regulations came into force in June 2020 and these require landlords to have all electrical installation in their properties inspected and tested by a qualified person every five years.

During the inspection, we will inspect the fixed electrical parts of the property. We will make sure that none of your electrical installations are overloaded, that there is no potential electric shock or fire risk and no defective electrical work.

We offer electrical system testing including fixed wire testing, EICRs and PAT tests.

Landlords – you can find more information about this here.

We install and inspect emergency lighting. During emergency lighting tests, we will test all key components including key switches, lights and control equipment. We will also check that all internal batteries are working as well as that there are a sufficient number of lights.
